Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special conditions on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
