Multiple OS
Find out which Operating Systems you can actually run on your server.
An Operating System is the low-level software that manages a PC. It handles how the hardware operates, the communication with peripheral devices for instance a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between your applications, and the prioritization of applications if several run simultaneously. Each and every program which is installed on a PC operates by sending requests to the OS for various services by using an application program interface (API). The contact with the OS can be achieved via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the hosting field, the OS is what runs a hosting server as well as all of the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but also every other application such as a VOIP or a game server. When there are virtual machines created, they employ a guest OS which runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Web Hosting
We offer as many as 3 different Linux releases for the Operating System of our
virtual private servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs available on the market and we supply all 3 instead of only one because we realize that you may want to set up some software which has specific requirements regarding the Operating System it will run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a huge support community behind it and there are various software packages you can install on the web hosting server. Your OS selection will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS if you wish to use one and that is why we offer several Control Panels too. In case you decide that you need to have some other OS, our tech support team can quickly wipe the existing one and install the one that you'd like. In addition, we offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers Hosting
The
dedicated server plans that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license taxes, but they’re also known as the most stable and safe OSs. We offer three different ones for the reason that each one of them is supported by a different community. The packages which you can add on your web server are different and this may matter in case you want to install some piece of software with particular requirements about the hosting environment. In this light, the internet hosting Control Panel which you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the Operating System that you will choose. You can pick any of the three Operating Systems during the order procedure, but if needed, we can always set up the server anew with an alternative one upon your request. As an optional service that you may add to the plan whenever you want, we can update the OS on a regular basis in order to keep it as secure as possible.
